OPI NAIL POLISH COLLECTION

OPI nail polishes are quite popular in the beauty world, and rightly so. The colour range is great, and I love the mini sets they do because you get to try out a lot more colours at once. The quality of these Nail Lacquers is amazing too, and some colours only requite one coat! So here is my collection!

Gargantuan Green Grape, You're Such A Budapest, Are We There Yet?, Be A Dahlia Wont You,
Austin-tatious Turquoise,
Avoplex nail and cuticle treatment, Original Nail Envy, Passion, Suzi Takes The Wheel, Lincoln Park After Dark
Big Apple Red, I'm Not Really A Waitress, You Don't Know Jacques, Vampsterdam,
Lincoln Park After Dark

Alpine Snow, Bubble Bath, Tickle Me France-y, Kiss Me On My Tulips, Red Lights Ahead... Where?

SMOKEY EYE UNDER 5 MINUTES

I love quick and easy eye looks, so today I'm going to show you a simple smokey eye that usually takes me under 10 minutes.

The first step is to apply eye primer. It's optional because the next product I'm using is a cream shadow, but if your eyelids are quite oily or your eyeshadow creases it's always a useful step.

Next take the cream eyeshadow of your choice, in this case I'm using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe, and apply on the eyelid with a flat eyeshadow brush.
Once you've put it on, take a blending brush like the MAC 217 (my favourite blending brush), and start to blend the colour up into the crease.

If you want to make the colour stronger and set the eyeshadow to make it last longer, you can apply a similar shade of powder eyeshadow on top, however I usually miss out this step so it doesn't take as long.

Then do your usual eyeliner and mascara, and your simple smokey eye is complete!

EVERYDAY MAKEUP BAG

The first few things in my makeup bag are face products, because they usually wear off the most for me during the day. I have a foundation, a concealer, powder and a blush as well.
For eyes I don't really tend to do much on the go, but I bring a handy travel size Benefit mascara and a pencil eyeliner if I'm wearing any. I also bring the lip colour I have on and recently it's been the Dior Lip Glow lip balm (I've been obsessed with it since I got it!)
I only bring one brush with me because it can apply most of the face products I have with me, so its going to save me a bit of room.

For other makeup bag essentials I also carry around a comb, and I particularly like this Body Shop one because it's FSC certified which means that it's made from legal wood sources, so it's Eco friendly. It's also quite thin so it doesn't take up as much room as a hair brush. I always have some hand sanitiser and hand cream as well as a compact mirror. The last thing that's handy to have is a couple of fragrance samples, because you have a bit of a choice and it's much easier than having a heavy full size perfume bottle with you.

Products pictured:
- Eco Tools fan brush
- Korres foundation
- Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer, shade 52
- Dior Lip Glow Colour Reviver Balm
- Benefit They're Real mascara (sample size)
- Bath and Body Works hand sanitiser, scent Sweet Pea
- Clarins moisture rich body lotion
- The Body Shop comb
- Rimmel Scandal eyes eyeliner, shade 005 Nude
- Nars  face powder
- Mac powder blush, shade Well Dressed
- Fragrance samples

So that's all I keep in my everyday makeup bag, I'd love to know what your everyday makeup bag essentials are too!

5 PRODUCT FACE

This is a quick look I do when I don't want to spend too long on it and just use a few products.

Whether it's a quick everyday makeup look or not, I always start off with foundation because it evens out the skin and makes the overall look a hundred times better (of course if you have amazing skin you can skip this step or just apply a teeny bit of concealer under the eyes).

The next thing to do is set the foundation you've applied. If you're only using a few products, something like a powder foundation is nice because it's going to give you a bit more coverage as well.

Then onto some colour on the cheeks. I'm cheating a little bit here because i have a two in one product (the Hibiscus Kiss blush duo from the Riri Hearts Mac collection), but you can use any blush or bronzer you like.

The eyes are quick and easy because if I don't have too much time I usually don't bother and go straight to brows. The product I absolutely love is the Soap And Glory archery brow pencil because it makes my eyebrows look really nice and quite natural too.

The last thing is something on the lips. My go to product right now is the Dior Lip Glow lip balm which I've already done a review on, or the Revlon lip butter because It's a nice light pink colour and it's also really moisturising.

So that's my 5 product face, hope this was useful to some of you!

TOP 3 FACE MASKS

I really enjoy using face masks, so this post is all about my three favourite ones!

The first one I really enjoy using is the LUSH fresh face mask. The two I've tried so far are the Cupcake and Catastrophe Cosmetic ones. I like these masks because I do really think they make my skin clearer and smell so good too! Just remember that once you buy one of these, you have to keep it in the fridge and you can only use it for around two weeks because the ingredients are fresh, as the name suggests.

Another mask I got quite recently is the Simple kind to skin deep cleansing mask. This one also works really well at making my skin look clearer and just appear nicer overall. It's nice because it's affordable, and you can keep it for longer compared to the LUSH one, so you don't have to use it straight away.

The last mask in my top three is the Lancome Hydra Intense mask. This one has a gel like consistency and it's clear, unlike the other two. It's good for hydrating the skin really well, and after using it my skin feels much softer and in better condition.

REVIEW AND SWATCHES: MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY 10H TINT GLOSS

One of my favourite lip stains is this Maybelline Superstay 10h Tint Gloss because it lasts so long, and the application is great.

I haven't gone as long as wearing it for 10 hours yet, but I can definitely say that when you put it on in the morning it will last all day. I also like the fact that it's buildable. The swatch on the picture below is only one coat, but you can definitely layer it to make the colour a lot stronger which is great for a bolder look, and it also means that it will last longer on the lips too.
The shade I have is Forever Fuchsia, but there is a range of colours you can choose from and they retail at £6.99 each.

REVIEW: DIOR LIP GLOW LIP BALM

I picked this up last month, and I'm so glad I did. It's basically my perfect lip product. It's a really pretty baby pink colour that looks amazing on the lips and also moisturises them.
I basically wear this everyday now because i love the colour, and it's just so easy to apply and go.
I only wish I got this sooner!

COMPARISON: MAKEUP FOREVER HD POWDER vs. MAC PREP + PRIME

I have two loose translucent powders, one from MAC and one from Make Up Forever, so I thought I'd compare them for you.

They're similar in how they look on the skin, however the Makeup Forever one only has one ingredient, Silica. It has 8.5g of product for £24.95, and the container is a little larger than the MAC one. It has a handy sifter opening, so the powder doesn't come out all at once which is great, especially if you're travelling with it as its not likely to go everywhere.

The MAC one has 8g, and costs £20. It's easier to get hold of in the UK because you can get it in stores/counters as well as online, compared to the Makeup forever one which is not as easily accessible. The MAC powder is £5 less expensive, but you don't get quite as much product (only 0.5g less).

Both of the powders are really nice in my opinion. They're very similar in how they work, but it's worth noting that they are meant to use to set liquid foundation and make it last longer, not to provide any coverage.
They both last a long time because you only need a small amount for your whole face and a little bit definitely does go a long way, so you don't need to repurchase as often.

Overall I like the container of the Makeup forever powder more because its much easier to use, but the MAC one is a little more expensive as 1g works out to be £2.50, whereas the Makeup Forever one works out to be £2.94 for 1g, so I guess it's whichever you prefer.
