MAC EYESHADOW COLLECTION

I must say that MAC eye shadows are my absolute favourite and since I have quite a bit of them I thought I’d show you my collection!

I have three palettes that I’ve attempted to organise by colour categories – Neutrals, Purples/Pinks and Blues/Greens.

Then I just have 4 eye shadow pots I haven’t de-potted yet, but they’ll fit nicely in my 3rd palette once I actually get around to de-potting them!

I also have three quads, which aren’t really that organised, but they’re very handy if you don’t want to take all of your eye shadows when you’re travelling.
They’re are very useful – even if you have one palette and just keep your quad empty for when you don’t want to carry 15 eye shadows around with you.

I also have some Mineralise eye shadows from MAC, which are great if you want more of a glittery look, and often contain 2 colours in one pot – again very handy for on the go!

MAKEUP COLLECTION AND ORGANISATION

Last week I asked you guys on instagram if you'd like to see a makeup collection post, so here it is...
hope you enjoy!
I store the majority of my makeup in the first draw of this dresser I got a while ago from ikea, I organise it by categories going from eye, to lips to face products.
I got these storage boxes from Hobby Craft, and I love them because it's really easy to divide everything up and see it quite clearly, which helps when you're looking for one specific thing.

The top just has a few bits and pieces to make my room a little prettier, as well as a board with tickets and other random bits that I want to keep and remember.

Acrylic containers like these are also very useful for storage, and you can always stack some on top to save yourself a bit of room. I use mine to store some of my favorite jewellery pieces and hair bows, and I have two perfumes (Chanel Chance and Michael Kors Glam Jasmine) and a YSL lipstick on top.

I also recently got this small dresser too, in which I keep all of my everyday makeup in (it makes it a lot easier to get ready in the morning)!

From L-R I use one smaller tray (also from Hobby Craft) to store my face and lip products in, and a bigger box for my favourite eye products at the moment. Then I have all of my MAC lipsticks in acrylic lipstick holders, and my MAC eyeshadow palettes next to them as well.
I switch up the products in this draw on a regular basis though, to make sure I use everything in my collection.

On top of this I just have a Calvin Klein candle, and a big cookie jar I use to store the makeup brushes I use everyday. Next to that I also keep my MAC Fix + and the Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray.

MAC HAUL

The first thing I got was actually a re-purchase, so I can already tell you that I love it. The MAC fix + is awesome if you tend to apply a teeny bit more powder than needed in the morning, *raises hand*, and it's just a nice product to use to make your foundation look a lot nicer.

I also got a four pan palette along with Vanilla, Quarry, Shale and Espresso to put in it.

I wanted to try the MAC Pro Long-wear concealer for a while now and having used it for a few days I can say it’s a great full coverage concealer.

For lips I picked up 'Lovelorn' Lipstick which is a super duper pretty pink (are you surprised?) and a dazzleglass in 'Sugarrimmed'.

The last thing I got is the 150 brush, which is perfect for applying powder as well as blush or bronzer!

I also included this Nails Inc. nail polish in 'The Southbank' because I picked this up at the same time and I just think it’s a gorgeous colour, and looks lovely on!

Hope you enjoyed this quick post!

SMOKEY EYE UNDER 5 MINUTES

I love quick and easy eye looks, so today I'm going to show you a simple smokey eye that usually takes me under 10 minutes.

The first step is to apply eye primer. It's optional because the next product I'm using is a cream shadow, but if your eyelids are quite oily or your eyeshadow creases it's always a useful step.

Next take the cream eyeshadow of your choice, in this case I'm using the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Permanent Taupe, and apply on the eyelid with a flat eyeshadow brush.
Once you've put it on, take a blending brush like the MAC 217 (my favourite blending brush), and start to blend the colour up into the crease.

If you want to make the colour stronger and set the eyeshadow to make it last longer, you can apply a similar shade of powder eyeshadow on top, however I usually miss out this step so it doesn't take as long.

Then do your usual eyeliner and mascara, and your simple smokey eye is complete!

5 PRODUCT FACE

This is a quick look I do when I don't want to spend too long on it and just use a few products.

Whether it's a quick everyday makeup look or not, I always start off with foundation because it evens out the skin and makes the overall look a hundred times better (of course if you have amazing skin you can skip this step or just apply a teeny bit of concealer under the eyes).

The next thing to do is set the foundation you've applied. If you're only using a few products, something like a powder foundation is nice because it's going to give you a bit more coverage as well.

Then onto some colour on the cheeks. I'm cheating a little bit here because i have a two in one product (the Hibiscus Kiss blush duo from the Riri Hearts Mac collection), but you can use any blush or bronzer you like.

The eyes are quick and easy because if I don't have too much time I usually don't bother and go straight to brows. The product I absolutely love is the Soap And Glory archery brow pencil because it makes my eyebrows look really nice and quite natural too.

The last thing is something on the lips. My go to product right now is the Dior Lip Glow lip balm which I've already done a review on, or the Revlon lip butter because It's a nice light pink colour and it's also really moisturising.

So that's my 5 product face, hope this was useful to some of you!
Thanks for checking out my blog!
